Our company was founded and continued to develop in Oderzo, in the province of Treviso, a fertile and competitive place from an industrial point of view.
You will notice that there is the name of an Italian river in the name Gelpiave. This is because the Piave, over the millennia, has shaped our region, and borne witness to important stages in history from up close. First it witnessed a glorious past in Roman times in which Oderzo was an important municipium, which later fell but was then reborn under the control of the Republic of Venice, the Piave then became a border line and battleground during the world wars.
We are proud of this important past and, being able to admire the archaeological sites, palaces from the Venetian era and many other exhibits every single day, we feel that this history, this river, have helped to define our identity.
